It's that time of year again, where the days seem to accelerate as the holiday's loom, and the "What-should-I-get-them?" thoughts start to bounce around the old noggin. Picking out fly fishing gifts can be a challenge with so many nuances and products available in the industry. We specialize in taking the guesswork out of what flies to pack, now let us take it out of gift-giving with these ideas perfect for the angler in your life, or for treating yourself!

Guide Grab Bags

Our Guide Flies Grab Bags feature a variety of our tried and true fly patterns at less than $2/fly + shipping. All you have to do is pick saltwater or trout flies, the quantity, and we'll take care of the rest!

These flies are at a special bargain because they might be discontinued, unintentionally crippled, demo'd, or a sample from our R&D. They may resemble something from your favorite guide's truck visor or hat brim. No two grab bags will be the same!

This is a great way to get a variety of different freshwater or bonefish flies.

For the Saltwater Angler

If you've got an angler in your life who spends more time rinsing salt off their gear than tying up the crabs, shrimp, and baitfish they need for the flats, our saltwater kits are here to save you. Our kits range from a half dozen pocket-stash of bonefish flies to a 5 dozen master collection that your guide will likely try to keep a few patterns from. Check out our Saltwater Angler gift recommendations below!

Packed in an ultra-slim cork top tube for stealthy carry and minimal space in your luggage (or stocking!).

Guide's Tailwater Trout Kit

Winter afternoons spent fishing on tailwater rivers can some of the most satisfying days of fly fishing. But without the right flies, they can leave you wanting to retire the waders until May. Tailwaters have their own ecosystems of amphipods (scuds), midges, tiny mayflies, stoneflies, and caddis. Most guides and tailwater junkies have boxes overflowing with 6 to 12, low profile patterns to fool these special trout.

Guide's Small Fly Kit

We read Ed Engle's book "Fishing Small Flies" and took some notes! Tie them sparse and focus on profile. Use the best hooks and get a good drift... the fish always respond but it can still challenge the most veteran guides and authors. These smaller, imitative flies are mandatory for fishing the colder winter months on both freestones and tailwaters.

Guide's Euro Nymph Kit

Tactical nymphing, Czech nymphing, Euro nymphing, tight-line nymphing, high-stick nymphing, competition nymphing..... Whatever you choose to call it, barbless, tungsten nymphs are the core of modern nymphing tactics. And we all know what the "experts" say, 80% of a trout's diet comes from the bottom. Guide Flies signature nymphs get down fast and have the special triggers that consistently put big trout in the net. A custom Guide Flies Euro Nymph kit is the best guarantee that you will have exactly the right flies for any riffle, pocket, or pool.
