guide tips to rigging Eggs
It's the time of year when trout are looking to get easy meals without wasting much energy. Eggs are in the water from sucker fish and other trout and eating those eggs are in every trout's DNA. Sucker Spawn, Blood Dots and Scrambled Eggs are a deadly addition to any nymphing rig. When used in small bright colors they make a perfect attractor and often the reason trout end up eating the smaller, natural fly.
Everyone has their favorite combination of flies to match up with eggs. These are our favorite combo's for winter and early spring fishing. |

Trail a midgeTrout are fixed in on small midge's and baetis. A small midge or micro nymph like our G-Midge or RS200 is the perfect dropper off a bright or natural colored egg.

Drop off a Stone flyA buggy OG Rubber Leg Stonefly is what catches the trout's attention but it's the
egg they want.

Add a scudMaybe the ultimate winter combo. A Trailer Park Scud and egg is like bacon and eggs to a trout. This is a double protein meal and both are more attractive when fished in tandem.
