Guide's OG Rubber Leg Stone
Guide's OG Rubber Leg Stone is finally another option to the girdle bug hysteria in trout fishing. 90% of guiding in the West starts with tying on a girdle bug, more commonly known as Pat’s Rubber Leg. And for good reason, trout are helpless to the patten. No only does it represent the biggest aquatic insect meal in the river, it looks like any organic matter trout would eat, thus one of it’s nicknames, cat poop. Now you can finally be ahead of the curve with a different fly that works even better. This orange and black stonefly nymph is tied with ultra buggy semperfli dub, weighted with lead wraps, and tied on Firehole hooks. The orange portion of the body replicates the emerging stonefly. You too can emerge from the girdle bug haze of lemming-type bug selection. The OG Stonefly will make you so much cooler.
